Swimming with Whale Sharks in Isla Mujeres

By far the biggest underwater attraction in the Mexican Caribbean has to be the much-anticipated annual whale shark migration from June 1st until September 15th. These gentle giants of the deep, known to reach up to 40ft in length, can be found in the waters around Isla Mujeres, Contoy and Holbox. Each whale shark has its own unique set of spots and stripes and has a lifespan of up to 70 years.

Take a boat ride out to see them and you will be able to safely swim and snorkel alongside these magnificent creatures.

The whale sharks are an unforgettable sight, as they glide along the surface, their mouths opening up to 5ft wide to feed on plankton.

The tour includes boat ride, equipment and refreshments. Boats accommodate a maximum of 10 people and depart daily at 8:00 AM and return by 2:00 PM

Whale Shark Tour Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made the day before by 7pm will receive a full 100% refund. Either
visit the shop or telephone us to cancel, and please make sure to note the member
of the staff who confirms the cancellation, for your refund
Cancellations because the harbormaster closes the port due to bad weather conditions
and we can’t take out the boats may be re-scheduled, and if guests’ itinerary doesn’t
allow will receive a 100% refund
Cancellations made the same day of the services, at any time or last minute, receive
a 50% refund. Last minute re-scheduling fee of 20% applies, for changes within 60
minutes of departure
For no-shows there is no refund, no exceptions
There is a 16% charge on all cancellations to cover payment commission and money transfer fees.
